How to Wear a Women's Winter Co-ord Set: 5 Outfits From One Set
A winter co-ord set for women is a matching top and bottom in a warm fabric, so one order gives you a complete outfit that also splits into two separates you can wear with the rest of your wardrobe. Ours, the FFlirtyGo Fleece Co-ord Set, is a hoodie and jogger in 360 GSM Fleece with a brushed inside, in sizes S to 6XL, priced from ₹1,499 to ₹1,999 depending on size.
Below: what 360 GSM means for warmth, how to choose between the two jogger shapes, and five ways to wear one set through the winter.
- What you get: a hoodie and a jogger in the same colour
- Fabric: 360 GSM Fleece, brushed on the inside, made in India
- Bottoms: a ribbed jogger (9 colours) or a straight-fit jogger (8 colours)
- Sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL
- Price: ₹1,499 for S, ₹1,699 for M to 2XL, ₹1,999 for 3XL to 6XL
What does 360 GSM mean, and is it warm enough for winter?
GSM stands for grams per square metre. It is the weight of the fabric, and a higher number means a denser, heavier cloth that holds more warm air close to your body. Every set in our women's winter range is listed at 360 GSM, and every one has a brushed fleece interior, which is the fuzzy inner face you feel against your skin.
In practice, that means the set works on its own for a cool evening, and works as a warm middle layer under a jacket or long coat when it is properly cold. The product pages note that GSM can vary by about 5% between batches, which is normal for knitted fleece.
Ribbed jogger or straight jogger: which should you pick?
The hoodie is the same idea across the range: relaxed, with a hood. The difference is the bottom.
| Ribbed jogger | Straight-fit jogger | |
|---|---|---|
| Shape | Closer to the leg, tapered | Straight leg, no taper |
| Colours | 9 | 8, including off-white |
| Best with | Sneakers, ankle boots, cropped outerwear | Longer coats, loafers, a cleaner line from hip to floor |
If you like the look of joggers and want the hem to sit neatly on top of a sneaker, pick the ribbed jogger. If you would rather the set look more like trousers than trackwear, pick the straight fit. Both come in the same 360 GSM Fleece and the same S to 6XL size range, at the same prices.
How do you wear a winter co-ord set? Five outfits from one set
1. The full set, matched
Hoodie, jogger and white sneakers. This is the reason to buy a co-ord in the first place: nothing to decide, and it still looks put together because the colour matches top to bottom. It is the easiest outfit for flights, long train rides and weekend errands. Darker colours like black or navy blue hide wear and travel creases best.
2. The set under a long coat
Wear the full set and add a knee-length or longer coat over it, left open. The matching colour underneath makes a long, unbroken line, and the coat takes the outfit from lounge to street. On the coldest days, the fleece does the warm work and the coat blocks the wind. Ankle boots finish it better than sneakers here.
3. Hoodie with jeans
Split the set. Wear the hoodie with straight or wide-leg jeans and your usual shoes. A solid-colour hoodie with no loud graphics goes with almost any denim, and you get a warm top for days when you do not want to wear fleece on the bottom.
4. Jogger with a knit or a fitted tee
Wear the jogger with a fine-knit sweater, a turtleneck, or a fitted long-sleeve tee tucked in at the front. This is the one for working from home and the walk to the market: warm legs, a neater top half for video calls. The ribbed jogger suits this best, since the tapered hem keeps the outfit from looking bulky.
5. The layered cold-weather set
For real winter mornings, start with a thin thermal or cotton tee, put the full set over it, then a puffer jacket or quilted vest on top. Each layer traps warm air, and you can take the top layer off indoors without being left in something too light. A lighter colour like cream with a dark puffer looks sharp in this combination.
What size should I order?
The sets come in S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL and 6XL, and the product pages describe the fit as relaxed. On the ribbed-jogger pages, the model is 5'6" with a 34" bust, 28" waist and 36" hip, and she wears a size M. Use the size chart on the product page and match your own measurements rather than going by your usual letter size, because every brand cuts a little differently.
Getting the size right the first time matters. Our return policy gives you 7 days from delivery to return or replace an item, but an order can be exchanged only once, and a flat ₹100 reverse pickup fee applies to returns and exchanges.
How do you wash a fleece co-ord set?
Machine wash cold and do not bleach. That is on every set's product page. The ribbed-jogger pages also say tumble dry low and do not iron on the print, and the straight-fit pages say wash inside out. Washing inside out is a good habit for all brushed fleece, since it protects the outer face from rubbing against other clothes in the drum.
Is a co-ord set worth it over buying a hoodie and joggers separately?
If you want an outfit that matches exactly, yes. Buying a hoodie and joggers from different places usually means two slightly different shades of the same colour, and two different fabric weights. A set gives you one colour and one fabric, 360 GSM Fleece on both pieces, and you still get two separates to mix with the rest of your clothes, as outfits 3 and 4 above show.
You can see every colour, in both the ribbed and straight fits, on our women's Fleece Co-ord Set page.
